U.S. Ambassador to Mexico Jeffrey Davidow scheduled speaker.

 

Ambassador Jeffrey Davidow will be the featured speaker at the U.S.-Mexico Chamber of Commerce breakfast on November 8th. This will mark the Ambassador's third visit to San Diego at the invitation of the Chamber in less than a year.

On this occasion the topic will be on the day after the U.S. Presidential election.

The Ambassador will be in a position to comment on the binational opportunities and problems facing the presidents of each nation.

Vicente Fox takes office on December 1st, and the to be elected US president takes office on January 20, 2001.

There are numerous issues on trade and commerce, but also on immigration as proposed by President-elect Fox. Also the issues of corruption, drugs, and border health are to be discussed.

The US Ambassador to Mexico, and Mexico's Ambassador to the US serve as the Honorary Presidents of the US-Mexico Chamber of Commerce and are both very active in fostering the Chambers mission.
