There is no excuse for
entering Mexico without complying with financial
responsibility laws.
In California driving a car
without insurance will get the car impounded.
Driver know this, there is no excuse. Only those
without insurance seem to not like the rule, and
are the ones who complain. The same thing happens
in Mexico. Drivers, who have obtained the
necessary insurance to protect themselves, while
they may not like the extra expense, understand
this is necessary to comply with the law. They
understand they are not immune or expect
dispensation from the law.
Respect the laws of other
countries, as we demand ours be respected. When
foreigners abuse our laws, they pay the penalty,
and so it happens when our citizens abuse the
laws in countries they visit.
Entering Mexico driving an
automobile knowing that the country has Financial
Responsibility laws, and not being in compliance
or be able to comply with such laws, places the
driver in an immediate stale of non-compliance
with such laws.
Obtaining insurance, which
provides compliance, and Supplemental coverage to
provide for other potential problems associated
with an accident, provides compliance, and avoids
turning automobile accidents into more serious
consequences.
In light of this, what
possible reason or excuse can a US citizen offer
for non compliance?
